Indigenous music, culture and heritage has great power to build community solidarity in these difficult times. Mobilizing this, Partners for Indigenous Knowledge Philippines offer the Kasiyana Music Video series, featuring the songs of Salidummay Dap-ayan ti Kultura iti Kordilyera (DKK). The songs highlight Cordillera indigenous values relaying messages of hope, collective action, and care for each other and the environment. At this time of enforced quarantine and social isolation, “kasiyana” is an expression of sympathy and encouragement, in the belief that we shall overcome any hardship or crisis and find better days ahead.
